HOW TO MAINTAIN

It is best to wipe with a soft cloth such as a towel after each haircut. There should never be any hair on the scissors when you start a new haircut. At the end of the day, wipe the scissors clean with the chamois leather (included with purchase) and pour in a little scissor oil. Then, wipe off any excess.

Saiki Scissors wants you to keep your scissors for a long time. After a while it may become harder to cut than when first purchased. We recommend to use the sharpening service of Saiki scissors NZ once every one and a half to two years. This guarantees the same sharpness as the time of purchase.

BEST USE

Many stylists use loosely adjusted scissors to reduce the strain on their hands. However, to maximise the scissors' effectiveness and precision, we advise you to tighten the screw until just before you feel they are too tight. The scissor action should be smooth - not too tight and not too loose.

Basically, in order to keep the hair product, oil and dirt free, first shampoo your hair and cut the base while it is still wet. After drying your hair, cut the hair while dry to finish it.
